What is linzer stadion?

Linzer Stadion, also known as Stadion der Stadt Linz or Donauparkstadion, is a multi-purpose stadium located in Linz, Austria. It opened in 1952 and has been extensively renovated and modernized since then. The stadium has a seating capacity of approximately 21,000 spectators.

Linzer Stadion is primarily used for football matches and is the home ground of LASK Linz, one of the most successful football clubs in Austria. The stadium has also hosted other sports events such as athletics, rugby, and American Football.

In addition to sporting events, Linzer Stadion has also hosted concerts and cultural events, including performances by international acts such as The Rolling Stones, Tina Turner, Pink Floyd and AC/DC.

The stadium has undergone several renovations over the years, including the installation of floodlights in the early 1960s, the construction of a new main stand in the 1980s, and the installation of a new playing surface in 2010.

Linzer Stadion will host some matches during UEFA Euro 2021.
